Miller Cushing Holladay Founding Partner, Christopher Miller, completed the Nike Half Marathon in Washington, D.C. on April 28, 2013. Chris and the thousands of other participants raised funds for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training, the world’s leading endurance sports charity training program. Chris raised $5,225.00 to support lifesaving cancer research in honor of his father, a survivor of Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). Since Team in Training’s inception in 1988, nearly half a million participants have raised over $1 billion to support The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s research and patient services programs.
Chris first ran the Nike Half Marathon to support the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in San Francisco in 2005. This year, Miller Cushing Holladay was a sponsor of the North Carolina Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training in support of Chris and the millions of others affected by these horrible diseases. Chris made Miller Cushing Holladay proud by not only exceeding his fundraising goal of $5,000.00, but also finishing the race with an impressive time of 1:34:18, putting him in 103rdplace out of 18,000 runners, and 4th overall in his age group.
